Nathalie Charbel Won the ‘Or’ in the aVenir BIM Awards!

Congratulations Nathalie Charbel! Nathalie, from NOBATEK/INEF4 “Measurement Systems and Computer Development” team, won the “Or” award in the category of doctoral thesis of the Trophées aVenir BIM.

The subject of her thesis? How to BIMify projects and practices from heterogeneous unstructured documents.

BIM cannot replace all the information associated with a project such as energy and environmental assessments. None of the current solutions handle both the semantic aspect of information and documentary. We therefore need a solution between these two worlds to allow users to update the model. Thus, Nathalie Charbel’s thesis within NOBATEK / INEF4 in partnership with the Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour led to the creation of the MASSDOC gateway currently finalized within the BIM4Ren project.

This year, the competition was opened to the general public with videos of the 8 finalists – 5 minutes per candidate, including Nathalie Charbel pitch, which is available here.
