Framework and Interface Specification of BIM Bots in the BIM4REN Environment
In this report the concept of BIM Bots is described as an alternative to the state-of-the-art of data exchange between software tools in the AEC industry. The concept is comparable and compatible to the intended Microservices Architecture that will be the template for the One Stop Access Platform in BIM4REN. In the report the authors describe how BIM Bots fit in the framework of BIM4REN and what most suitable interface specifications are for the BIM Bots. The report is concluded with a brief reflection and recommendation on which technologies are proposed by the authors to develop and implement in the BIM4REN project. This is especially related to the way to ‘orchestrate’ the BIM Bots as intended in T4.3, but also relates to which operations (such as validation, checking, enhancement) are to be performed on the data.
